A Bras n Boujee Bash to Launch Local Expansion
Teddies for Bettys Lingerie Austin expands to Domain Northside
by Kim Vilyus
A chic crowd of Austinites collected uptown at the Domain Northside this past Thursday night to celebrate the launch of local lingerie experts, Teddies for Bettys, second brick and mortar store. The beautiful new modern space sits right on Domain Blvd. among Mill No. 3, Wildfox, Filson, Stag, Warby Parker and Nordstrom. The crowd mixed and mingled within walls lined with colorful Cosabella bralettes and panties, Simone Perele shapewear, and Andres Sarda lace against an Ashley Woodson Bailey floral backdrop.
The Bras n Boujee bash was hosted by a 'squad of sexy girl bosses' that embody female empowerment as they employ local female talent to drive their Austin brands, and they support local businesses in the process. The bustling event was driven by Teddies for Bettys owner, Ashley Kelsch, who has been keeping the ladies of Austin covered in the finer things since 2009 downtown at her 2nd St. location in the Warehouse District.
DJ LouLou kept the crowd mingling in sync, while Gem and Bolt Mezcal libations were flowing thanks to everyone's favorite dive bar, Dirty Bill's. Guests sampled snacks and received bags of take-away rolled oats à la Callie Speer's downtown diner (in the works) Holy Roller, and adorned themselves in fierce sculptural pieces from Nina Berenato jewelry.
Customers stocked up on their best selling brands including Simone Perele, Marie Jo and Prima Donna. The space also features Teddies for Bettys top picks of summer swimwear (available by bra size for larger cup sizes!!) from Stella McCartney and Lise Charmel, La Perla sexy silk and cozy Eberjey nightwear, Wolford stockings and hold ups, as well as their top lifestyle toys. Ms. Kelsch was delighted to see smiling faces going home with many new delights in their Teddies shopping bags knowing that she is keeping her new and loyal Bettys covered in style.
